From questions to switch-on.
Tap each stage to see who handles it and what you need to do. No consultation is required to receive your estimate. A proposal walkthrough and any required program onboarding come before you commit or proceed.
01Consultation & your decisionUnderstand the offer before committing.
Our team: explains your custom design, cash or monthly options, remaining utility costs, battery scope and warranty responsibilities.
You: ask questions, check the written scope and decide whether to proceed. Monthly programs may require a welcome call and eligibility checks. Uploading a bill is not signing a contract.
02Site surveyCheck the real home, not just the imagery.
Axia: arranges an on-site assessment for the final design, including roof and electrical conditions.
You: arrange access and confirm the arrival window. Flag roof work, access restrictions and backup priorities. Findings can change the proposed scope.
03Plan review & final scopeKnow exactly what will be installed.
Axia: develops the final plans using the survey. Our team helps you understand panel placement, battery location and backup scope.
You: review the layout and any changes to equipment or price. Confirm revisions in writing before the affected work proceeds.
04Permitting & utility reviewLocal authorities and the utility review the project.
Axia: coordinates permit submissions and the required utility process.
You: provide requested signatures and any HOA documentation. Local review queues, corrections and utility requirements affect timing. Some steps overlap.
05InstallationYour approved design becomes real equipment.
Axia: coordinates installation after required approvals.
You: confirm access, clear the work areas and plan for any communicated power interruption. Weather, equipment availability or required upgrades can affect scheduling.
Important: installation does not automatically mean permission to turn the system on.
06Inspection & sign-offThe completed installation is checked.
Axia: coordinates the required inspection and any corrections before final approval.
You: provide access if requested. Passing the local inspection is a milestone, but it is not the same as utility permission to operate.
07PTO, activation & monitoringThe utility gives permission to operate.
Axia: helps complete utility approval and guides activation once authorized.
You: wait for permission to operate and activation instructions, then set up monitoring. Confirm backup settings and the service contact for your equipment.
Utility bills may continue. Watch solar production, household usage and any solar payment together to understand your results.
